Why does ICBE seek donations?
ICBE seeks donations to fund its initiatives which include international conferences for educators in Benedictine and Cistercian schools as well as congresses of students in Benedictine and Cistercian schools. Registration fees alone cannot cover the cost of these conferences and congresses. In addition, ICBE grants financial aid to both educators and students from developing countries to attend our programs.
What do I need to do to make a donation to ICBE?

Where does my donation go?
ICBE has an international merchant account with JP Morgan Chase. All funds raised by ICBE are in this account.
How will my donation be used?
ICBE uses your donation primarily to grant financial assistance to educators and students from developing countries to attend our programs. Donations are also used to fund aspects of specific programs, such as simultaneous translation, and to support commission (planning) meetings for these initiatives.

Can I get some kind of proof to show to my local tax authority?
Yes, ICBE can send a letter via post or e-mail. Please specify what you need for your particular tax records.
How much money will go to ICBE and how much to the bank?
Every transaction has a $US20.00 fee; international transaction also have an additional $US25.00 conversion fee. All other monies go directly to ICBE programs and initiatives.
Are there any alternative ways to make a donation?
Apart from mailing a personal check or money order via post, there are no other internet means of making a donation at this time.
Can I restrict my donation for a certain purpose?
Yes, you may restrict your donation, for example, to fund an educator to attend a conference of the Benedictine Educators’ Network. Unrestricted donations, however, are preferred as there are additional expenses such as simultaneous translations which are not covered by registration fees.
